Jimmy Kimmel Defends Ryan Seacrest Amidst Sexual Harassment Allegations

Last November, the TV host was accused of sexual misconduct by Suzie Hardy, his former personal stylist at E!

Ryan Seacrest has denied allegations of sexual harassment after his accuser went public with her claims.

Meanwhile, the network also seems to have given the green signal to Seacrest, who will even be anchoring the red carpet show on Sunday, 4 March, for E!

"At one point, Seacrest, sitting in his director's chair in his underwear, told her, "'I just don't think you're attracted to me, '" Hardy said. On Wednesday's show, Ripa and Seacrest had been going through a list of topics, prompting both to stand up from their desk.

Ripa's statement clearly meant to publicly show she is standing by Seacrest, who has denied any wrongdoing and said the former stylist, Suzie Hardy, has tried to extort millions of dollars from him in exchange for not coming forward with her claims. Hardy claims Seacrest once grinded his erect penis against her while wearing only his underwear.

The report says E! conducted a thorough investigation into the allegations and found that the claims to held no truth. However, Jennifer added that if she did decide not to talk to Ryan, the decision would also be made in relation to the E! network as a whole.

"Much has been said about the #MeToo and Times Up movement (s) and the importance of providing women and men with the opportunity to share their stories of workplace misconduct, in an effort to change our culture and the systemic inequalities that exist", Seacrest's latest statement reads. I absolutely support this cause unequivocally and applaud all the fearless souls who have come forward to share their stories."Sadly, last fall I became one of the accused which I promptly revealed proactively to the network involved and to the public". Over the course of a two-month process, our outside counsel interviewed more than two dozen people regarding the allegations, including multiple separate meetings with the claimant and all firsthand witnesses that she provided. Ultimately, my name was cleared.

"I just want you to know you are a privilege to work with, and I adore you, and I am speaking on behalf of all of us here."

In November of previous year, Seacrest received a letter from a lawyer representing Hardy, who claimed the E! exec had mistreated her more than a decade ago.

"You are happiness", Seacrest said to Ripa in response to her kind words.

After Variety's detailed published Monday, E! called the claims "completely baseless".

"This person who has accused me of terrible things tried to buy her silence by asking for money on multiple occasions-I refused".
