Margot Robbie's Brother Trolled Her After She Didn't Take Home An Oscar

Tune into the Oscars Monday March 5 (AEDT) at 9AM and watch as Margot Robbie walks away with her very first Oscar - that's the power of positive thinking right there!

While her career has certainly proven that acting can be a "real job", Robbie admits that her family remains nonplussed by her fame and fortune.

Margot Robbie, who is nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, was once a brunette with glasses and braces. "She's always been an fantastic actress so she definitely deserves it".

Margot is said to have obtained a kit from an assistant and mended the dress herself, telling the magazine: 'Oh, ain't got time for that!'

But Robbie continued to pursue her passion. After she had tackled the could-have-been fashion faux pas, she said to People, "Oh, ain't got time for that!".

The 58-year-old gasped when her name was called and she hugged her tearful movie daughter before she made her way to the stage.

She proved them wrong by getting her role on Neighbours before moving to LA, where she was cast in the Leonardo DiCaprio film Wolf of Wall Street, catapulting her into stardom.

She added: 'I didn't want her to look trussed up and bedazzled. He gushed over Robbie and admitted he was "excited", "proud" and "happy" for his sibling as she presented onstage with Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. Robbie has always been open about her close bond with her mother, who raised her and her two brothers single-handedly in rural QLD.

As the night unfolded, Cameron and his friend popped some champagne following I, Tonya's star Allison Janney's Best Supporting Actress win, saying "Margot, I love you, but I need to start drinking now", noting that "tensions are high". She founded the company in 2014 with her husband, Tom Ackerley, and a few close friends.
