The top ten billionaires are even richer than Forbes says

U.S. President Donald Trump's net worth took a $400-million hit during his first year in the White House, according to Forbes magazine billionaires' list. He has topped the Florida billionaires' list for the last three years.

The magazine's 32nd ranking of the world's billionaires had a record 2,208 billionaires featured.

Forbes attributed the president's decline in net worth throughout 2017 to a struggling retail real estate market and Trump's polarizing brand.

Jeff Bezos, the man behind Amazon, is easily the richest man on the planet, having combined a net-worth of over $39.2 billion.

Coyiuto was the only Filipino on the list with a notable drop in net worth, falling by $100 million from last year's $1.41 billion. As of February 9, Bezos' wealth stood at $112 billion as of February 9, up from about $73 billion previous year, according to Forbes.

The No. 2 spot on the Florida list belongs to a relative newcomer to the state: David Tepper, who moved his hedge fund Appaloosa Management and his residence to Miami Beach from New Jersey.

This put Sy ahead of Tesla Incorporated and SpaceX founder Elon Musk who ranked just behind him at #54.

The 71-year-old president, who became the first billionaire to serve in the Oval Office when he was inaugurated in January 2017, has a net worth of $3.1 billion, according to new estimates from Forbes.

The Bezos milestone, revealed in Tuesday's release of Forbes' closely watched list, underscores the growing clout of both Bezos and the company that he founded in 1994 as an online bookstore. "He is now ranked 766 in the world, down from 544", Fortune added.

The Bezos bump also pushed Warren Buffett down to No. 3. "Their average net worth is a record US$4.1 billion". (NASDAQ:FB) CEO now has a net worth of $71 billion thanks to his popular social media platforms.
