DeShone Kizer traded to Packers in Randall deal

Multiple sources are reporting that the Green Bay Packers are trading cornerback Damarious Randall to the Cleveland Browns for second year quarterback DeShone Kizer.

Kizer appeared overmatched during his rookie season, completing 53.6 percent of his passes for 2,894 yards with 11 touchdowns and a league-high 22 interceptions.

Randall was the 30th overall pick in 2015 and 10 interceptions in 39 games, 30 of which were starts. Entering the 2015 NFL Draft, he was the top-rated free safety prospect, but Green Bay made a decision to move him to cornerback where he's spent most of his career.

Player reaction also included tons of eyes emojis.

. He also has experience playing safety.

After the season, when asked about Randall, McCarthy did not mince words. "He needs to focus on himself". That's what I look for him to do in the offseason.

The good thing about Randall though is he doesn't handcuff the team to one position. "He needs to go home and self-evaluate and clean his own house".

Those questions were answered not long after.

Kizer was the Browns' second round pick in the 2017 National Football League draft. He also rushed for 419 yards and five touchdowns, but lost six fumbles. He and Rodgers were the only quarterbacks on the roster before the Kizer trade.

That means the Packers could be a significant player in the cornerback market, if they can clear some additional salary cap room. "We'd like to be as aggressive as we can to try to improve our football team".
