Liverpool to hand Mohamed Salah £200000 per week deal this summer

Former Liverpool striker Ian Rush believes Mohamed Salah is more than capable of breaking his club-record 47 goals in a season but hopes he will back it up with silverware. "It suits my style and I love playing here".

The Egypt global has been in superb form this season, having already netted 28 goals in the Premier League.

Salah's 36 goals in all competitions so far this season are 11 shy of Rush's Liverpool record for a single campaign.

A massive 40ft Mohamed Salah banner was erected on the storefront of a discount and e-cigarette shop in Walton in Liverpool in a show of support for the Liverpool FC football star. "I think it is realistic", said Rush.

However, Rush believes Liverpool, who inflicted City's only league defeat this season in a 4-3 thriller at Anfield, can prolong City's wait to win the European Cup.

"I watched him against Watford and it is the best I've seen him play".

Ince subsequently believes that the Egypt worldwide is in the right place at the right time, and has urged him to reject any overtures from the Spanish giants, who have both been credited with an interest in a summer transfer.

"Salah has been outstanding and scores a lot more goals than Coutinho as well".

"He didn't have a great time at Chelsea; he was good at Roma; but now he is doing things we have never seen before".

"Maybe a difference is that when I scored 47 goals, we won three trophies". He followed up with 26 goals in 44 appearances in 1984-85, then recorded goal-scoring returns of 33 and 40 in the two seasons after that.

However, the Mirror reckon Liverpool are fully aware of Real Madrid's interest and are prepared to offer the Egyptian a bumper new deal worth £200,000-a-week to stay on Merseyside. "He's had a phenomenal season, but to be one of Anfield's best ever, you need to keep re-producing that form".

"But if you are not successful it's an excuse for a Salah, a Mane or a Firmino to say "actually, I want to win trophies".
