Florida State University Men's Basketball team has become one of the break-out stories in this year's "March Madness" NCAA Division 1 Basketball Tournament. FSU will take on MI this Saturday in a bid for the Final Four.
ANN ARBOR WEST: Florida State has plenty of fans in Southern California, but MI had a truly impressive crowd in the Staples stands for the victory over Texas A&M.
That would be the Wolverines' opponent next Saturday, No. 11 seed Loyola Chicago.
"I felt like we were in Ann Arbor", Beilein said. His free throw gave the Wolverines a 45-38 edge as play went to the under-8:00 media timeout.

The #11 Loyola-Chicago Ramblers will aim for another upset win when they take on the #3 Michigan Wolverines in the Final Four round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday evening from the Alamodome in San Antonio. They haven't lost since February 6 against Northwestern.
MI guard Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman (12) shoots between Florida State guard M.J. Walker (23) and forward Mfiondu Kabengele (25) during the first half of an NCAA men's college basketball tournament regional final Saturday, March 24, 2018, in Los Angeles.
"Michigan will be in San Antonio".
Not that West Regional Most Valuable Player Charles Matthews had a clue. And Matthews apparently has no idea who she is.
In his news conference, Villanova head coach Jay Wright described his team's mental toughness to advance to the Elite Eight.
"I've been watching them".
Full disclosure - I've really liked this MI team nearly all year, since the moment I saw them in Chapel Hill.
You're not going to be able to punk Villanova. "They're here for a reason". The Wolverines can get to the national semifinals for the second time in six years, while the Seminoles haven't been to the promised land since the tournament expanded to 64 teams.
After beating No. 14 Montana by 14 points in the first round, MI escaped by 1 against Houston on Jordan Poole's 3-pointer at the buzzer. Two nights after shooting lights out from three, MI struggled from long distance, hitting just 4-of-22 attempts. Since the Wolverines struggled from the free-throw line and missed two front-ends of one-and-ones in the final few minutes, the Seminoles fouling to extend the game seemed like a potential strategy.
FSU cut the lead to 45-42 with 6:00 left after four consecutive free throws. But to be in this spot where we're at right now - going to the Final Four - it's an awesome feeling. "When you have guys like that who are truly your brothers, anything's possible".
Jacobson said they could have put MI on the line and hope for a miss, but Hamilton rolled his eyes and almost walked out of the interview when she suggested that.
"Loyola-Chicago, those people should be so proud of that team and come out strong", Beilein said. The Wolverines were going inside and getting fouled.
