Chrissy Teigen Is Breaking Up with Snapchat

It looks like the company's headed for a similar day on the market-since Teigen tweeted yesterday, Snapchat stock fell a little over 1.3 percent.

Well, Chrissy weighed in on Twitter. Rihanna had blasted the messaging app over an advertisement that sought to promote domestic violence and referenced her 2009 assault by Chris Brown.

The Sports Illustrated model - who is expecting her second child with husband John Legend, with whom she already has 23-month-old daughter Luna - has chose to avoid the social media app after Rihanna accused the company of shaming victims of domestic abuse.

On Saturday, the 32-year-old model took to Twitter to reveal that she is no longer using the social media app following the bad update and controversial Rihanna and Chris Brown poll!

Rihanna attacked Snapchat over it on Instagram.

Chrissy Teigen has bailed on Snapchat, and the app's stock took a nosedive after she talked about her decision.

In a calculated move, the pop star utilized Instagram's story feature, which is a direct rival of Snapchat, to post her scathing response to the whole situation.

Some users on Twitter criticized Teigen and said instead of just quitting the app, she should work with the company to fix the issues, for the sake of employees who could potentially be fired. "That would intentionally bring shame to DV (domestic violence) victims and make a joke of it".

This will not be good news for Snapchat whose stock price appears to be fluctuating more than Dermot Bannon's attitude to budgets.

While Snapchat does not reveal user data, Teigen has nearly 10 million followers on Twitter and 16.5 million followers on Instagram, so if we had to guess, millions of the 32-year-old's biggest fans will be following her to the next app of choice.

Following both Rihanna's and Jenner's comments about leaving the app, Snap Inc. shares took a dive. Only time will tell.
