He said the people of Andhra Pradesh believed that the Naidu-Modi combo will solve the problems of the State.
Last month, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had pulled out of the NDA after the Centre expressed its inability to grant Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. This issue was also discussed during Chandrababu Naidu's meeting with the opposition leaders. On Wednesday, he met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
"They want to dent my credibility". If YSR Congress supports BJP, they will be under their control. They have cases in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), ED (Enforcement Directorate) and everywhere.
Pointing out the promise made by the government regarding the new railway zone formation, he said that despite the neighbouring State of Odisha not having any objection, it has not been implemented yet.
He said any "good leader" would do what he has done. "Is it fair? Without informing as ally can you do like that?" "Our people are totally annoyed", said Naidu.
Naidu said the government kept telling him that they were not going to give special status to the state because of the 14th Finance Commission.
"Who they ally with is their call and we have nothing to say".
Eleven states have the special category status, then why the bias against Andhra Pradesh, asked CM Chandrababu Naidu. "And that decision had already been taken", Pawan Munjal, chairman and managing director of two-wheeler major Hero Motocorp, recently said at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a factory at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. Bifurcation has been done in an unscientific way. "We are not concentrating on that right now".
He said that despite several progressive measures taken by the Centre, the member of the SC/ST continues to be the victims of the victim of the abhorrent practice of untouchability and caste based discrimination.
Addressing a press conference as he concluded his meetings with political leaders in Delhi, Naidu accused the Centre of indulging in "mud-slinging" over the issue. YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy last week announced that his party will also protest in New Delhi for the same demand. I am always positive and friendly with everybody but when there is an injustice ... Congress lost elections in Andhra Pradesh, and now BJP is in power. "We never attack people, We never attack erstwhile friends as is being done by the TDP".
Reiterating the Centre's commitment towards the development of Andhra Pradesh, Javadekar ridiculed Naidu's politics.
He also met veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, Hema Malini and Jayant Sinha, and Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia. "You (TDP) have 16 MPs, we fought together against Congress and now you (Naidu) are meeting Congress leaders", Javadekar said. "It is not in our DNA".
