Existing Spotify Premium subscribers can upgrade their plan to an option named "Spotify Premium, now with Hulu".
Spotify and Hulu have linked up once again, this time offering customers in the U.S. the chance to pay a single monthly subscription to enjoy both services.
Another thing to note: The deal is only for the Hulu "Limited Commercials" plan, so if you pay for Hulu's "No Commercials" plan or for its live TV service you can't get the Spotify discount.
Each month you'll save $4.99 if you already pay for both services separately.
It's because back in February, a number of US Spotify users reported that they'd received an offer inside the app for a new device that would come included as part of a $12.99-per-month subscription. The offer grants an initial three-month Hulu subscription for the exclusive price of 99 cents before charging a monthly price of $12.99 for the bundle.
The package would allow listeners to enjoy Spotify ad-free music. Spotify's terms said that users who bill their monthly subscription through Apple's App Store or Google Play are not eligible to receive the discounted Hulu add-on. "This is just one example of how we can add value to our premium members day after day". Everything we do is driven by our love for music.
Today, we are the worlds largest global music streaming subscription service with a community of over 157 million users, including over 71 million Spotify Premium subscribers, across 65 markets.
While Spotify relies heavily on paid subscribers for the bulk of its revenue, the role of the free user can not be underestimated. They'll be able to try out the Hulu subscription for $10.99 - just one dollar more per month.
This is not the first time both the companies have cooperated on a joint arrangement.
