The Eagles released a statement later Sunday confirming they "are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning".
Eagles corner Daryl Worley has been arrested, according to multiple reports. Worley was also reportedly found with a gun.
Rapoport reports that Worley, who played collegiately at West Virginia, had a taser administrated on him by police after he became combative.
The incident occurred at approximately 6 a.m on Sunday.
Rapoport added more details.
Worley was found passed out behind the wheel when officers arrived, the source says.
Worley came to the Eagles last month in a trade with the Carolina Panthers in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith. In college, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault.
Worley, a third-round pick in 2016, was expected to compete for a starting role with Philadelphia this upcoming season, but that could be in question in the wake of his arrest. He was traded for this offseason.
It is not yet clear why Worley, who is a Philly native, was arrested.
