Instead of an infection, Miller was preliminarily diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a type of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma pending additional testing. The news was confirmed by the publication from Cedar Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospitals orthopedic spine surgeon Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, the doctor who was treating the dance choreographer. "In the span of 24 hours, which was something that I have not seen, her condition rapidly deteriorated".
Abby Lee Miller may be recovering well from emergency surgery to treat a potential cancer that left her paralyzed from the neck down, but her doctor says she's "not out of the woods yet". Dr. Melamed then performed emergency surgery for a multi-level laminectomy however, after more tests and the surgery not going as well as expected, it is reported that the star has been given a "preliminary diagnosis pending pathology and oncology results" PEOPLE reports. Her blood pressure was falling and she was evidently not doing well. The doctor further said that she was paralysed and could not even move yesterday.
During her time in the prison, Abby Lee passed a real estate class and received a personal finance class diploma as well.
After the four-hour-long surgery, Miller began to feel more sensation while recovering in the ICU. For now, while she awaits the next steps in her treatment, she's resting comfortably after experiencing excruciating pain, which led to her leaving the halfway house where she resided to seek medical treatment. Saah went on to explain that if the mass had not removed the infection from his body, it could become a cause of her death or she could be paralyzed.
Miller recently underwent spinal surgery. That's a reality that's facing all of these patients going into it.
Access Online reports that Melamed also dished some details on the dance instructor's current condition, saying that her recovery looks good.
Miller continued to post on social media during her prison sentence and after moving to the halfway house.
