Ryan Reynolds Doubtful on DEADPOOL 3 Happening

While Infinity War continues to clean up at the box office, Reynolds and Deadpool will get their shot at box office success in May when Deadpool 2 hits theatres worldwide promising to bring more characters from the X-Men universe and, of course, the infamous Merc with a Mouth. Now that we've gotten a closer look at Deadpool 2, it appears that the upcoming sequel will introduce X-Force, and that means Deadpool 3 could be up in the air a bit. I read that [CEO and chairman] Bob Iger felt that there's plenty of room in that universe to have a rated-R character like Deadpool.

On certain things he knew he wanted when first brainstorming the sequel: "Those conversations were happening really early, like on the set of the first Deadpool". The first would be to have Deadpool in a team-up movie. Reynolds would likely be the most in-the-know person in this situation, and if he says he doesn't think there will be a Deadpool 3, he must be getting that info from somewhere. It would stand to reason that Fox would want both Deadpool and X-Force franchises, especially since X-Force would have a different dynamic than a Deadpool movie.

While all the dirtiness of Deadpool is integral to its brand, its not the kind of stuff Disney or the MCU are known for.

It is yet to open in China, one of the world's largest movie markets.

If Reynolds believes that a third film is only possible by going for more of a "Sundance" type feel, as he mentioned in the interview, then perhaps there's still hope for Deadpool adventures (even if the future seems uncertain with the Disney acquisition in process). As a result, the Wade Wilson fan club is a tad apprehensive about the impending merger between Fox and the Mouse House.

Fans of the Regenerating Degenerate, you should probably salvage the bloody action pack masterpiece that will be Deadpool 2. With a new mission to save a boy's life, Deadpool is back in action to take on not only the deadly Cable, but other bad guys who are also out for blood.
