Joe Burrow To Transfer From Ohio State

Joe Burrow announced his intention to transfer from Ohio State on Tuesday, meaning the best graduate transfer of the 2018 season is now on the market.

Haskins overtook Burrow on the depth chart last season after Burrow broke his hand in the preseason. The Bearcats are coached by former Ohio State assistant Luke Fickell and have an established starter at QB in Hayden Moore who threw for 20 touchdowns and nearly 2,600 yards in 2017. He completed 74.4 percent of his passes for 287 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. It was reported Wednesday that Burrow will visit LSU this weekend. He competed with Dwayne Haskins this spring for the starting role.

"I didn't come here to sit on the bench for four years", he told reporters in Columbus, "and I know I'm a pretty darn good quarterback".

Joe Burrow will take visits to LSU and Cincinnati as he begins the process of choosing a new school, according to FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman. Both LSU and Cincinnati were on the list.

OR has proven to be a better head coach at LSU than he was at Ole Miss, but he could easily revert to his impatient ways of old.

LSU opens the 2018 season in Arlington, Texas, on September 2 when the Tigers take on the Miami Hurricanes.

If Burrow does choose LSU and earn the starting gig, Brennan would be wise to consider transferring.

Burrow announced his plans to transfer in a tweet on May 8 that expressed just how hard this decision was for him while also thanking and showing love to his former coaches and teammates.

Brennan is not one to back away from a challenge, but he'll have to think about the long term.
