Moto G6 lands at Verizon for $240 outright

Motorola is all set to launch a new smartphone on June 6, which is reported to be none other than the Moto Z3 Play. The fingerprint reader usually found below the screen has seemingly been moved to the side of the phone, and on the back you'll find dual rear cameras coming in at 12 and 8 megapixels, while the front-facing shooter will be just 5 MP. We say so as the latest piece of information regarding this device is that it could arrive with a 5G Moto Mod. The report also sheds light on some of the key specifications of the third-generation Z series smartphone.

These photos, obtained by XDA-Developers, clearly show off the Moto Z3 Play's display. However, there is a Moto G6 Plus with a real upgrade in specs that Motorola has decided not to sell in the US. It'll be available with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of storage, but it's likely we'll see the 4GB/64GB option as the standard model for India.

Other stipulated features of the Moto Z3 Play includes a 6.0-inch screen with full HD+ (2160x1080p) resolution, Android Oreo software, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core CPU, 4GB/6GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery, which is more than enough to keep the phone running for a whole day under mixed usage. When it comes to the Moto G6 Play, the device can be purchased via Flipkart. And now it officially confirms that Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will make its debut in India on June 4. And from the images that have appeared so far, the smartphone in the hand of the model is very similar, pulling the front, which is edited. The Moto Z3 Play is being touted as one of the "thinnest premium design" so even with mods attached the phone shouldn't be unwieldy. The large battery allows the Moto G6 Play to stand out, but the rest of the hardware isn't all that enticing when you consider the likes of Xiaomi offer beefier hardware at the same price point.
