TvOS 11.4 arrives with AirPlay 2, watchOS 4.3.1 brings bug fixes

Apple has included some unspecified bug fixes and improvements in iOS 11.4 as well.
The update to iOS 11.4 brings with it a few notable new features. And you'll be able to ask Siri to play a given song in the bedroom or in the living room. After I updated my iPhone to iOS 11.4, I was able to update both HomePods via the Home app. But today marks the first time that HomePod owners can use AirPlay 2.
Stereo pairing allows you to play through HomePods simultaneously.
The HomePod's advanced beamforming provides a wider soundstage than a traditional stereo pair setup. That's been a promised feature since HomePod debuted, and it's finally here with the newest software update.
Messages in iCloud will use end-to-end encryption, and uses cloud storage instead of local storage for message archives and attachments.
All your messages appear when you sign in to a new device with the same iMessage account.
It also means you'll get message synchronization across devices. To enable the feature on your iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name at the top of the Settings screen and select iCloud; from there, scroll down to the list of Apps Using iCloud and make sure Messages is toggled on.
Conversations are still end-to-end encrypted, Apple points out, and Messages in iCloud isn't enabled by default.
Elsewhere, there are the usual bugfixes and tweaks we're used to seeing in any iOS update. iBooks is gaining the ability for teachers to assign students reading activities, controlled through the teacher's Schoolwork app, for example. Now these issue have been addressed it makes the speaker a much more compelling purchase, despite the price.
