Giuliani was in attendance at the Monday Yankees game, and when the announcer mentioned him by name while broadcasting birthday wishes, the crowd responded with boos. He also found himself the subject of taunts as he visited a NY hotel where Trump was holding a fundraiser.
Giuliani came up as Morning Joe addressed news that the former NY mayor was booed loudly at Yankee Stadium while he attending a game yesterday. Speaking with anchor Dana Bash, the president's legal adviser admitted much of the president's assertions about "Spygate" were "an intentional strategy to undermine the investigation".
Indeed, Giuliani said: "We sure as heck are not going to testify unless this is all straightened out, unless we learn the basis of that Russian investigation". Either fans were taking out their frustrations on Giuliani or he's just not as popular as he once was in the Big Apple. But a series of scandals tarnished his administration, killing his plans to run for president.
Giuliani, who is now working as part of Trump's legal team to put an end to special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into alleged Russian collusion, was gearing to watch New York Yankees take on the Houston Astros at the Yankee Stadium with his son when the PA announcer noted his presence and made a decision to give him a birthday shout out.
Now, however, New Yorkers - at least the ones who attended Monday's Yankees vs. Houston Astros game - are back to disliking Giuliani.
