Arguably the cutest moment from the celebration came when 4-year-old Prince George began giggling, and found himself shushed by 7-year-old cousin Savannah Phillips, granddaughter of Princess Anne.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle also joined other senior royals at the event. This year, she turned 92 on April 21, her real birthday.

The Queen soon made her entrance onto Horse Guards in an Ascot Landau after making her journey from her famous London home Buckingham Palace.

Prince Philip, the Queen's husband, did not attend the event, having retired from public life previous year.

The annual Trooping the Colour parade took place on Saturday, bringing much of the royal family and thousands of spectators to Buckingham Palace.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "I can confirm that the Queen successfully underwent a short planned procedure to treat a cataract last month".

The actor talked to ET and revealed why the new royal couple is the ideal pair. It originates from traditional battle preparations, where flags were "trooped" - ie carried - slowly through the ranks so they could be seen by all soldiers, so they could recognise them during combat.

Kensington Palace is also expected to shortly announce Meghan's first charitable patronage since becoming the fourth member of the Royal Foundation behind by Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry. And though her matching Philip Treacy hat was perched to the side, her long locks and swooping bangs blocked the view of her face for most on the parade route who had waited for hours for a glimpse of the royal bride.
