George Clooney is being treated following motorcycle crash

George Clooney has been injured in a road accident after his motorbike was in collision with a auto in Sardinia, according to reports.

According toLa Nuova, an ambulance arrived and carted the injured Clooney to Sardinia's John Paul II Hospital. Media inquiries at the hospital reveal that the actor has already been discharged and left the building through a side exit, to avoid the paparazzi outside.

Italian media reported that Clooney was knocked off his bike by a vehicle and taken to a local hospital.

The force of the impact reportedly broke Clooney's helmet. A health official confirmed that he was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were "not serious". Clooney, 57, is serving as director and executive producer on the project, and also plays the role of Scheisskopf.
