Ambitious Ronaldo eyes further silverware at Juventus

In the first few hours after Juventus officially announced the signing of Cristiano, the club's online shop crashed due to the masses of people looking to get their hands on a Ronaldo shirt.

Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled by Juventus on Monday evening after passing a medical earlier in the day and said he was proud to have been purchased by the Italian giants and proud to be apart of such a prestigious club.

Juve have paid €112 million (£99m/$131m) to sign the Portuguese and handed him a four-year deal but Kaka hinted it was money well spent for a player of Ronaldo's calibre. Napoli officials expressed tons of interest but were put off by the players incredible wage demands.

"Everyone speaks about my rivalry with Messi but of course we are going to play for our own matches". Things will go well, I'm quiet.

"I'm not sad. I'm here because it's a brand new challenge for my career". I don't like to stay in my comfort zone.

Speaking on the arrival of the 5-time Ballon d'Or victor, former Juventus striker, Paolo Rossi said Ronaldo will make Real regret selling him to the Serie giants.

He leaves as Los Blancos' all-time top scorer and a four-time Champions League victor with the team he joined from Manchester United in 2009.

"For this, I hope to bring luck, but with tranquillity". There is a chance, but we will fight for all trophies.

"I can see that Juventus is a club that can have many successes".

"I gave everything that I could whilst I was at Atalanta, and I knew that it would prepare me well for Juventus, I feel great to be here".

"For me, VAR should be used for serious errors - clear situations of refereeing mistakes - and yesterday's example is one of those that creates so many doubts and is an injustice for a team that did an absolutely fantastic job".

"There's a lot of enthusiasm for Ronaldo, it's been a long time since a player like him came to Italy and I'm very excited to play alongside him". "I am very motivated and I want to show the Italians that I am a player of the highest level".
