Details of the incident are still sketchy, but multiple reports confirmed that the controversial rainbow-haired rapperwas kidnapped on his home turf in Brooklyn early Sunday morning. The story reads like a crime novel.
According to TMZ, who talked to sources close to the "Gummo" rapper, 6ix 9ine was shooting a music video in Brooklyn early Sunday morning (July 22). Once 6ix9ine regained consciousness, the men demanded money and jewelry or else they threatened to kill him.
Sources have informed TMZ that 6ix9ine attempted to pull into the driveway of his home where there was another vehicle blocking his path. During the drive, Tekashi made a decision to bravely open the door and jump out the vehicle and one of the gunmen started to chase him but got scared he'd be seen so stopped.
But but wait, it gets worse.
Authorities said the gunmen returned to Hernandez's home and allegedly took about $750,000 worth of jewelry and between $15,000 and $20,000 in cash. This all occurred while his daughter and her mother were inside, but they weren't hurt.
That wasn't the end of it.
The gunmen then drove away with Tekashi still in the back seat. One of the gunmen began chasing him but got scared and retreated because he was afraid he'd be ID'd.
Tekashi reportedly climbed in the passenger seat of a stranger's auto and pleaded for help. A stranger called 911 and he was taken to the hospital.
