No Space In The Juventus Squad For Leonardo Bonucci’s Return - Beppe Marotta

Bonucci only joined Milan from Juve last summer, but is keen to return to the club where he won six Serie A titles and reached two Champions League finals.

Leonardo Bonucci's future looks to be away from AC Milan this summer, but a new report suggests that he could be set for a sensational return to Juventus.

They are yet to agree on the respective valuations of the player with Juventus expecting to receive Bonucci and a fee for Caldara, while Milan feel Juve should pay them in addition to receiving the 24-year-old.

But AC Milan are insisting on taking Chelsea linked defender Mattia Caldara as part of the deal that would see Bonucci return to the Allianz Stadium.

"I've met Juve's bosses because Bonucci has put in a transfer request, so we'll have to see if the negotiations go through", he said at a news conference where he was officially presented.

Under current manager Gennaro Gattuso, they finished sixth in the league last season to qualify for the Europa League and had their one-year ban from European football overturned on appeal.

"Leo had a meeting with me, but I am not the club and he needs to talk to the directors".

Leonardo Bonucci during an AC Milan training session. "We are bound to FFP and I do not think it will be possible to make a big investment. Gattuso was the first person to be confirmed", the Brazilian said.

While affirming that Bonucci was seeking a way out, Leonardo added that he could yet stay for another term at Milan, who have recently fallen into the hands of United States hedge fund Elliott Management.
