Using the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 while waiting to speak at a media event, Samsung's Koh gave us our first sneak peak in the flesh, showing off a clearly re-designed Note 9 and - most likely - the new S Pen as well.

Samsung today briefly posted a Galaxy Note 9 promotional video to its YouTube page. Samsung is including AKG tuned stereo speakers and the Galaxy Note9 will have an IP68 rating for water and dust protection. The Galaxy Note 9 will come with 512GB on-board storage as well, confirms the teaser video. It shows off the blue variant of the Note 9 and the stylus is yellow. In terms of battery life, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be a significant improvement over its predecessor, thanks to a large 4000mAh capacity battery. Of course, photos from a distance don't show us much, but they do reveal the re-configured camera array and rear fingerprint sensor.

The back side of the Galaxy Note 9 will be curved, and the phone's display will also be curved, while the phone will sport minimal bezels, as expected. While the 128GB variant will retail for 69,990 RUB (Rs.75,800 approx.), the 512GB storage variant will cost 89,990 RUB (Rs.97,500 approx.). It also confirms that a 512GB version will be available, with support for up to 512GB microSD cards.

But the official launch is coming next week at Samsung's August 9 Unpacked event, so get your "which rumors were right" Bingo cards ready. A report has now leaked the pricing details of the Galaxy Note 9 as well. The Galaxy S8 is also getting an update with the August patch, in addition to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 8. It is possible that in India, the Note 9 will launch with similar prices, although these would be the MRPs and the market operating price (MoP) could be lower by a few thousand rupees.
