LeBron James To Executive Produce Showtime Docu-Series "Shut Up & Dribble"

Michael Jordan said he supports LeBron James after the fellow basketball legend was attacked by President Trump in a tweet late Friday.

The spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a question on whether the first lady planned to visit the I Promise school.

To his list of evidence, Lemon added Trump's past embrace of a conspiracy theory that Barack Obama, "America's first black president", was born in Kenya and faked his USA citizenship.

"It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation", Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady's spokesperson, said in a statement released Saturday.

The chief executive's tweet was in response to an interview James did in which the basketball player - who just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers - said Trump was using sports to divide people in this country. Sports stars rally Elsewhere, Trump's former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton backed James as a "great family man" and "incredible ballplayer" who "gives back to his community, and isn't afraid to speak his mind".

Trump's freaky tweet labeled CNN's Dom Lemon as the "dumbest man on television" after his interview with LeBron James in a weird tweet that ended, 'I like Mike!'

James said Trump is creating a wedge by using situations like National Football League player Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem and "uninviting" NBA star Steph Curry to the White House. "He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do", the president tweeted.

But Rodgers said the fact that James hadn't dignified the attack with a response was "absolutely lovely".

US first lady Melania Trump also appeared to take exception with her husband's attack on James. "We, the decent and truly patriotic people who really love America and believe in this its greatness have to". A lineup of public figures and social media personalities quickly stepped up to point out that Trump's attack overlooked the fact that James sat down for an interview to discuss his humanitarian work.

Trump's tweet will no doubt be justified by his supporters as fair game, since James has never shied from criticizing the President. "He's doing an unbelievable job for his community".

The White House didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
