While the price is most definitely expensive, the four major U.S. carriers have all announced deals and promotions to make it more affordable. "Moving along, the OLED displays are 1.2" and 1.3" in size and boast the acceptable resolution of 360 x 360 pixels.

This means that the Galaxy skin is inevitably going to be one of the rarest skins in the game, because of how few people comparatively are going to be able to get it versus the massive playerbase. The LTE models of the Galaxy Watch will be available later in 2018.

Mr McGregor said the Galaxy Watch would also be the first cellular smartwatch to work with payment technology from all of Australia's "Big Four" banks, allowing users to pay for goods by tapping the wristwatch on contactless payment terminals at the counter. Of course many more retailer offers will be going live as I write this, so shop around. The 42mm comes in rose gold and black, and the larger 46mm model is silver.

Samsung is pushing this watch's health features, which go beyond simple activity-tracking (though it does that, too).

The Galaxy Watch looks much like a Gear S3, with its round case and rotating bezel.

The Bluetooth-only models of the Galaxy Watch will be available on August 24 starting at $329. I didn't get chance to try out Bixby on the Galaxy Watch during our brief hands-on session though, so I will withhold judgement until I can test it out properly.

While the big-screened smartphone (6.4in, to be precise) looks near identical to its Note 8 predecessor with its edge-to-edge display and glossy IP68-certified chassis, Samsung is touting a number of upgrades.

However, it wasn't initially available on phones running the Android operating system. Again, I didn't have chance to check the limits of functionality and compatibility with iOS on the hands-on session, so again it will be worth holding off for T3's full Galaxy Watch review.

An update to Samsung's photography technology - which has consistently dominated the smartphone market in terms of camera quality - promises scene optimisation, flaw detection and better clarity than competitors. You know, just to be thorough.

It is, though, far more stylish than previous incarnations by the South Korean maker, and comes packing some neat new abilities such as Bixby Voice and competitive water resistance, making for a compelling package. Or simply watching below.
