Jose Mourinho 'singled Luke Shaw out for praise after Leicester City win'

As he has done in the past, Braida praised the Frenchman Adrien Rabiot, while practically dismissing the possibility the Catalans would sign Paul Pogba.

Luke Shaw says his goal for Manchester United in their 2-1 Premier League win over Leicester City gave him "the best feeling" in his career so far.

Paul Pogba has found it hard in recent seasons to produce consistently good performances for Manchester United, but in their opening fixture of the new Premier League season, the Frenchman seemed like a totally different player.

The France midfielder, who starred in his country's World Cup triumph this summer, has been linked with a return to former club Juventus, as well as Spanish champions Barcelona.

Last week, Manchester United rejected a derisory cash-plus-players offer of £45m plus Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina for the French midfielder.

It had even been suggested that Barcelona were prepared to take the so-called Philippe Coutinho approach to their pursuit of Pogba, meaning that the Catalan club was willing to wait until January to get the deal done.

"I don't really know too much about what's been said or talked about but he is a Man United player and I am sure he is happy there".

Piercing through any sense of satisfaction on an opening day win, Pogba chose to use his post-comments to say, "If you're not happy, you can not give your best".

Meanwhile, Mourinho was frustrated at the club's failure to bring in extra defensive bodies ahead of the transfer deadline.

"United have always played 4-4-1-1, 4-4-2, with two wide players".

"I don't think we're going to move for Pogba, but he's a great player", he said to Radio Sportiva (quotes c/o MEN). "I came in the academy, I grew up, I played for the first team". I do not say it for this player [Pogba].
