United States reality star Lyric McHenry found dead in NY aged 26

On Monday night, McHenry had taken to her Instagram Story to upload videos of her birthday celebrations out at The Frederick Hotel, SoHo Grand Hotel and Dream Downtown in NY.

The NYPD confirmed that a 26-year-old woman was found at about 5:05 a.m. Tuesday near Undercliff Avenue and Boscobel Place. Her sister, model and photographer, Maya McHenry, also joined in on the celebrations. McHenry was reportedly 20 weeks pregnant.

McHenry's co-star on EJNYC, EJ Johnson, was also one of the first to wish her a happy birthday earlier this month.

Police say she was by herself when they found her. Investigators are waiting on the city medical examiner's report to determine an official cause of death.

Stanford University alum and former reality star Lyric McHenry was found dead in a desolate part of the Bronx early Tuesday with no trousers and in possession of cocaine, authorities say. According to the Daily News, the pregnant McHenry was only partially clothed and was in possession of cocaine, leading police to suspect a drug overdose and investigating whether she had been "dumped on the sidewalk". She tagged herself at The Frederick Hotel, SoHo Grand Hotel and Dream Downtown.

The reality star had been out celebrating her birthday with friends on Monday, after turning 26 on 6 August. She blows a kiss to the camera as the man exclaims, "It's your birthday!"

The show lasted for one season on the E! cable network and focused on the fashion industry, the jet-setting lives of its cast members and socially conscious issues.

"@Lyric_leigh words can not express how much I love and appreciate you in my life", the caption read.

'Your constant love, respect and companionship gives me the confidence to live my truth every single day and I am so blessed that even as baby divas we recognized the greatness in each other. Why does she look so bomb? McHenry had previously appeared on a reality show starring Magic Johnson's son, and as a teenager had volunteered for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
