We still don't have a release date, but CD Projekt Red told us at Gamescom that they've got a build that runs through the game from start to finish. The rest of the video is dedicated to showing off the open world and how single missions as well as the entire story can shift and change based on the decisions you make.
Holy flaming shoes. CD Projekt RED has only gone and released a big ol' chunk of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage today, showcasing what was shown behind closed doors during Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, last week.
Cyberpunk 2077 dominated E3 conversations among anyone who was lucky enough to attend that demo. After almost five years of media blackout on the game, Cyberpunk 2077 made its world premier at the end of Microsoft's E3 press event, with a live demo shown to press behind closed doors.
Premiered over on the developer's Twitch channel, the demo shows off quite a bit of gameplay including combat, driving, conversation, and character creation, as well as how CD Projekt Red is bringing genre tropes and staples to life, particularly in regards to the hacking of humans. Players will be able to use V as a male or female character and also tweak his/her backstory.

In a press release, director Adam Badowski explains why the developer was originally intent to keep this footage from the public.
"However, we are also well aware that many of you want to see what the media saw", he added.
