Chelsea star Alonso reveals Champions League draw agony

I like it, the games are played at a high tempo.

Chelsea FC have won all four of their opening Premier League games so far this season and they will be looking to continue that form when they take on Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge after the global break.

And following the league victory, Courtois spoke about the difference between Real Madrid and Chelsea while taking a not so subtle dig at the Premier League club.

Jorginho moved to Napoli from his first club Verona in January 2014 and after an indifferent start under Rafa Benitez, emerged as a key member of the first-team during Sarri's three seasons in charge.

The Blues have been drawn against PAOK Salonika, BATE Borisov and Vidi in the group stage of that competition, while Premier League rivals Manchester United and Tottenham look forward to meetings with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona. He told German outlet Het Nieuwsblad: 'In training, you see that the level at Real Madrid is high, ' said Courtois. "We tried, we believed it was done but at the last turn he decided on Chelsea".

Alonso, however, never felt like the Belgium worldwide would leave.

Such form did not go unnoticed and Jorginho was high on Manchester City manager's Pep Guardiola's shortlist before eventually deciding on a move to Chelsea instead.

"I hope it's a lesson for us to fight this year and compete for the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League".

"I never saw myself away from Chelsea this summer", he added. I'm very happy. With Luis Enrique I see similar things.

"Of course, this was not the first time I've played here".

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were both reportedly interested in signing Alonso this summer, but he insisted that he is settled in London and a transfer is not in his future plans.

"The management of the club was rather favourable to give it to me".
