Apple will reveal an iPhone model known as the XR, which is a rare "budget" offering by Apple. This will let users easily swap between two different mobile plans, which is common in some countries where users might travel between different network zones.

Here's a step by step guide on how you can enjoy the new eSIM function in your device.

"This is the biggest display ever on an iPhone", he said.

American duo ODESZA have released a new song that features in Apple's iPhone XS, XS Max and XR announcement video.

On that basis, the numbers you need to know are $1,249/£1,249 for the 256GB model and an eye-watering $1,449/£1,449 for the mighty 512GB iPhone XS Max. In fact, features have been taken away - there is now no iPhone with Touch ID.

The iPhone Xr comes in three storage configurations: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

"At 1,099 dollars it's the most expensive iPhone to date, but I have little doubt that it'll be a huge success".

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will both have Qi wireless charging and Apple says it will charge slightly faster than the iPhone X!

New Apple iPhones are coming. Prices for Hong Kong have not been announced, but US pricing has the XS starting at US$999, XS Max US$1,099, and XR at US$749. It also boasts a 1792 by 828 resolution at 326 PPI (pixels per inch) and is described by the company as having a "Liquid Retina" display.

Apple introduced its first £1,000 smartphone - the iPhone X - last year, and despite a slight drop in sales, the company has reported increased revenue and profit during 2018. An updated iPhone X, now called the XS, stays at $1,000.

And like the XS and XS MAX, the XR features Smart HDR, which preserves better highlight and shadow details across photos.

In other ways, the iPhone Xr matches the high-end Xs range: It has the same front-facing camera with FaceID, and uses the same A12 Bionic chip, which is faster and more power-efficient than last year's A11. The iPhone XS Max fits into the same footprint as the iPhone 8 Plus.

The preorders for the iPhone XS and XS Max begin on Friday, 14 September and phones will go on sale on 21 September. It will feature a 6.1-inch LCD display with an "edge-to-edge" and "top-to-bottom" screen, thus limiting its bezel size. The screen supports tap to wake feature and Apple True Tone technology, which uses six-channel light sensor to subtly adjusts the white balance onscreen to match the colour temperature of the surrounding light.

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are powered by A12 Bionic, a custom build processor with a dedicated 8-core neural engine to uses real-time machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance photos, gaming and augmented reality experience.
