Maurizio Sarri reveals which Chelsea star can lead them to glory

Giroud has locked down his place in the starting XI for Chelsea, despite Álvaro Morata starting the season up front.

Hazard sent Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, who had already saved two penalties this season, the wrong way to complete the second Premier League hat trick of his Chelsea career. "But now I change my mind because maybe he is the best", said Sarri of the man crowned the second-best player at the World Cup this summer.

Hazard is clearly thriving under Sarri's attack-minded approach having been shackled by Antonio Conte last season, particularly away from home when he was often asked to play in a false nine position which saw him starved of the ball.

Sarri becomes just the fourth manager to win his first five Premier League games, and, while there appeared plenty to frustrate the Italian as he bounced around on the touchline, the hosts had far too much quality for the visitors.

Kovacic was forced off in the second-half.

He said: "No (not defending), when we have the ball in our half and he touches the ball five or six times, it shows he spends a lot of energies, and can have more enegy in the last 25 metres. If he wants to help us, I'm very, very happy". "For the moment, the captain is Azpilicueta, I will tell you the final decision after I talk with the players and club". "I think that at this moment Liverpool and Manchester City are another step [ahead] than us".

The Blues will be looking to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season as they look to try and enjoy a strong campaign under new boss Sarri. Chelsea are now second in the Premier League with 10 goals, and only defending champions Manchester City have more with 11. Pedro caused plenty of problems but was very wasteful with his shooting, whilst Giroud proved an excellent provider with two assists but failed to register a shot on target himself.

"In the moment we are very risky in the offensive phase but we are not solid as I want in the defensive phase", he added.
