Joshua vs Povetkin schedule, running order: When EVERY fight will start

Anthony Joshua has reiterated his desire to fight Deontay Wilder at Wembley in his next fight.

While Joshua would prefer Wilder, his promoter Eddie Hearn conceded it was most likely going to be Whyte who steps in the ring with his fighter next.

This will be Joshua's first fight since March 31 when he defeated Joseph Parker for the WBO heavyweight title by unanimous decision in his first career fight to go the distance.

Previously convicted for his doping offences, many had felt it would be something of an aberration had the Russian fighter claimed the win on the night.

A stunning left hook in the seventh round left Povetkin visibly shaken, and Joshua smelled blood.

Joshua will be back at Wembley on 13 April, and has the likes of WBC champion Deontay Wildwer and British rivals Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte have been calling him out.

Saturday's fight offers Povetkin a chance to win back the WBA title that he lost to Klitschko after four title defenses.

"I realised he was strong to the head but weak to the body".

Joshua said he also respects Povetkin's heart and speed, with the only blemish on the Russian's 35-fight record a 2013 points defeat by Klitschko. The energy in here spurs you on but I do feel the pressure, I'm not going to lie.

(Joshua's) not an Instagram champion he's a proper champion.

'Wilder is my number one choice but I am done talking now'.

What Canelo is at the box offices in America, so is IBF/WBA/WBO unified belt holder Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) on the east side of the pond. Either way, Joshua is scheduled to have another fight at Wembley Stadium on April 13, 2019, but the opponent has not been decided. We have seen Anthony get rocked on a couple of occasions and against Klitschko he hit the canvas, saying that I believe Anthony has improved since the Klitschko fight, I'm not too sure Povetkin has improved in the last couple of years.
