Despite the 2-0 win, Arsenal fans are not happy this morning after reading comments about Lacazette made by BBC pundit Garth Crooks.
The goal was Lacazette's second of the season and came just days after television cameras caught him visibly unimpressed as he remained an unused substitute in Arsenal's 4-2 Europa League win over Ukrainian side Vorskla.
The visitors continued to keep a high tempo, forcing Arsenal into a couple of defensive errors as Emery's side once again tried to play out from the back.
'At that point we needed a change to stop their attacking moments but then we scored and I made a decision to think again'.
Team captain Cech is one of the best shot-stoppers of the past couple decades, but Emery expects more than that.
"For any club who wins titles in the recent years, you have a team with the know-how to finish it off and you can see it in any sport", said Cech. "Take Tiger Woods - five years since he won a Major tournament and the longer it goes, the harder it becomes".
The Gunners sat in ninth place but only three points off Spurs in fifth with the Lilywhites having played a game more, prior to kick-off.
"This club hasn't won the league for over 10 years so obviously you need to get back into knowing how to do it".
Through six games, Cech has shown absolutely zero signs that he can do this, his inept ball-playing skills frequently pulling him out of position and put his team at risk, as they did a few times on Sunday.
"Against Everton, despite going through hard moments in the game, we managed to get the win with the clean sheet, so this is very positive".
"It is a clear offside for their second goal, and it is a decision at an important stage because at 1-0, we would have kept creating problems for them", he told Sky.
"Hopefully we can build this up and win the title sooner rather than later".
The win over Everton moved Arsenal up to sixth in the table after a fourth consecutive league win. Luckily, they had de Gea in goal, who showed just why so many people believe he's the best keeper in the world with a series of unbelievable saves. It is an area where Arsenal have to improve if they want to become a title challenger this season.
