Aaron Ramsey Set For January Transfer Move To Italian Giants

Talks between Ramsey and Arsenal over a new contract have broken down, according to Sky sources.

Ramsey is currently on just over £100,000-a-week (€112,000) but could realistically expect around £200,000-a-week over the next four years given his own status and the salaries that are now being paid elsewhere at Arsenal. The other is the club, and the other is the squad.

Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008 for £4.8million.

Chelsea appear to have sensed an opportunity to move for the enigmatic midfield player, with the Mirror indicating that they are keen on a deal.

If no agreement is reached with Ramsey over the coming weeks then Arsenal may try and cash-in this winter rather than lose him for nothing but the likes of United and Chelsea may opt to wait until the summer to snap him up for free.

"For me, every player is very important with their relation with the team", he explained.

The Ozil deal, along with the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has put a strain on Arsenal's wage bill.

"They managed to keep hold of Ozil, but it has cost them an absolute fortune, and now this is what happens, the players are knocking on the door saying: 'If he's getting that, what are you going to give me?' The bar has gone up".

"I think with the performance we brought out today, getting the victory would have been something precious for the team, but we keep our head up and get ready for the weekend's game against Arsenal", he said.

'In the football years I know the same situation.

Sevilla's Ever Banega reportedly emerges as a top target for Arsenal as they prepare for the impending loss of long-serving midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal could be forced into selling the player during the January transfer window if they want to avoid him leaving for nothing.
