Nathan Eovaldi gets the call for Game 3

The famed Red Sox pitcher who once suggested he should call the Yankees his daddy has company when it comes to Boston pitchers being tortured by NY in October.

"It's a good song".

The team with momentum, so to speak, inside a postseason series wins the next game only about half the time, and this really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. "We like to hear that song sometimes when we win a big game".

NY and Boston split at Fenway Park and are tied 1-1 in the best-of-five AL Division Series going into Game 3 on Monday night.

Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees got the win they needed on Saturday night, taking down the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 of the American League Division Series.

Price was 0-3 with a 10.34 ERA against the Yankees this season and 0-8 with a 5.74 ERA in nine previous postseason starts during his career.

"I mean, everybody knows that Judge has way more power than me", Sanchez said, speaking through an interpreter.

NY is 19-9 in the postseason at new Yankee Stadium, where boisterous Bronx crowds try to intimidate.

Why he's here: Maybe it's fitting that a guy who played just 54 regular-season games in a Yankees uniform owns one of the biggest homers in the history of the franchise.

After broadcasting his show from Fenway Park on Saturday night and watching the Yankees take Game 2 of their ALDS against the Red Sox, Evan Roberts wasted no time sharing his thoughts on the game - he recorded the latest edition of his podcast from inside his auto leaving the ballpark. "From his cage work to his [batting practice], he's been seemingly locked in", Judge said. And the righthander's contribution to the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry has given Boston reason to be optimistic about his postseason debut.

Much to the consternation of some, the Red Sox eschewed the perceived need for bullpen help and opted to add starting pitching ahead of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.

A year earlier, Boone's 11th-inning homer off Tim Wakefield won Game 7 and the AL pennant. "But I think it's just a good-natured whatever".

"I don't know where he got that, but I didn't say [anything] about [being] hurt", Severino said. If the Boston bullpen was rotten in victory Friday night, it was brilliant - save for one pitch from Rodriguez to Sanchez in the seventh - in defeat on Saturday.

Xander Bogaerts hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. "But with the Red Sox in the division, they were running away with it". That makes it a best-of-three as the AL East rivals shift to NY for games on Monday and Tuesday and the possibility now opened that the best regular-season team in the major leagues in 2018 won't have another home date. David Price still is the wild card for the Boston Red Sox World Series hopes.

Eovaldi opened the season with Tampa Bay coming off the second Tommy John surgery of his career.

"Trying to keep the ball in the ballpark - try and get quick outs, try not to let the crowd get too insane and get behind them and get them going", he said.

"Obviously, we're all in with this, so you never know what can happen in Game 3, but it should be Nate in 3 and Rick in 4", Boston skipper Alex Cora said Sunday. That's probably just something they do when they win.

Yankees players were ready for familiar sounds when the series resume. Before we watch what will happen over the next few days, let's look back at the players - the stars and the surprises - who have worn the hero capes in this short, but intense, playoff rivalry.
