Kohli’s ton in vain as West Indies beat India in 3rd ODI

Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball as he scalped a four-wicket haul to help India restrict Windies to 283/9 in the third ODIof the five-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, on Saturday.

While India will be hoping to fix the weak links, for Windies it is a chance to level the series and the body language of the team indicate that the tie in Visakhapatnam the other evening, has boosted the team's confidence.

However the absence of Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah saw the Indian bowling unit being clobbered for 320 plus runs in both games. His back to back hundreds (140 and 157 not out) is just a testimony to it.

Kohli's superhuman consistency has been the primary topic point in the ongoing series, given he has scored centuries each time he has walked in to bat.

Asked after the match what his celebration was all about, Nurse said that it was dedicated to an Indian friend he made during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

But questions remain on a stable numbers 5, 6 and 7. Might not see Dhoni in India colours for the T20 format again... That will be between Rishabh and Dinesh Karthik.

The dew is a big factor during day-night matches in India, something that will worry Kohli since both his wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were finding it hard to grip the wet ball. Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are out.

Although the 37-year-old Dhoni enjoys massive support, there has been some murmur in the past about his form and ability to finish matches.
