Patriots among teams aggressively vying for Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson

The veteran is not demanding a trade by the time the deadline approaches.

Peterson "desperately" wants to be traded from the Cardinals before the October 30 deadline.

But the Cardinals seem prepared to keep Peterson.

Peterson has 2 interceptions and 35 tackles this season. That's cool enough, but things intensified when it came out that Peterson specifically wants to join the Saints.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson wants to be traded, and the Patriots reportedly are interested in acquiring his services.

A hard-hitting playmaker who is still just 25 years old, Joseph would bring much-needed talent to a Tampa Bay secondary that has struggled to overcome injuries and inexperience. They could accumulate draft picks to rebuild the team, but only if they trade away some assets.

Apparently, the rumors got into Peterson's head as well.

Foster also said the Steelers need to be very focused against a desperate Browns team this week, how the offense is playing right now and how he warned his teammates to protect themselves against Vontaze Burfict in their last game.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports tweeted that New Orleans and Philadelphia have reached out concerning Peterson's availability. The addition of Peterson would surely take their defense over the top and help them out down the stretch. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday afternoon that the two parties do not see eye-to-eye on the situation, but the Cardinals are sticking to their word.
