Destiny 2 PC is free on Battle.net

During this period of time, Battle.net users can claim Bungie's shared-world sci-fi shooter to own.

The PC version of Destiny 2, which is available on Blizzard's Battle.net service, will be available as a Gift from November 2 through November 18. This is of course, the base version of the game and does not include recent expansion, Forsaken. The giveaway is to mark the game's one year anniversary on PC, with the game being free indefinitely for anyone who downloads the title in this window. However, if you haven't played Destiny 2 and want to give it a go on PC, now's your chance! Destiny 2 is also out on PS4 and Xbox One.

The rather extraordinary giveaway was announced just now, ahead of BlizzCon 2018's opening ceremony, by Steve Cotton, Destiny 2 game director at developer Bungie.

There's no doubting how much the Forsaken and 2.0 Update enhanced this title since its launch past year. When you log into the client, you will be notified of a gift which will allow you to claim the game.

All you have to do is download the Blizzard app (in case you haven't installed it), head over at Destiny 2 and get your free copy.

Disclosure: Blizzard sponsored the correspondent's flights and hotel for BlizzCon 2018.
