Diablo Immortal is an MMO ARPG described as a game that can be played by anyone, anywhere they please.

That's unexpected, to be sure, but Diablo Immortal promises to be more than just a watered-down tablet version of the original trilogy. The game webpage describes the project as a fully realized massively multiplayer online action role-playing game (MMOARPG) for mobile devices.

The story in Diablo Immortal focuses on the aftermath of the destruction of the Worldstone in Diablo II with demonic invaders trying to bring back a rule of terror. The talk focused on games across Blizzard Entertainment's portfolio-along with a huge freebie from its corporate siblings at Bungie.

As for how Diablo Immortal fits into the greater Diablo universe, the mobile game will take place in the years between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. Despite the fact that many fans expected Blizzard to announce PC-related Diablo project (new game or remaster), the US company unveiled a mobile game - Diablo Immortal. In order to celebrate this announcement, Blizzard has also released two new trailers that you can find below.

The game will feature six distinct classes just like that in the Diablo trilogy which are monk, wizard, crusader, demon hunter, necromancer and barbarian. BlizzCon's Diablo Immortal announcement was the last thing most core fans of the franchise wanted.

In one of the major highlights from today Blizzcon livestream, it was revealed that WoW Classic would have a release date in 2019.

It's clear that Blizzard has put a lot of work into making Diablo Immortal, and for a mobile game, it visually looks fantastic.

There will be nine outdoors areas in which to explore and fight for the game's initial launch, and you can expect to encounter lots of new creatures never before seen in a Diablo game. Though it does say that pre-registration is open on Google Play first, with the Apple App Store's coming soon.
