The future isn't immediately clear for Daniel Cormier right now but with yet another rising force nullified as a contender, you'd have to assume that his next bout will be a lucrative one.

Daniel Cormier is hoping to return to the octagon at UFC 235 in March of 2019 for a fight with former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
Cormier defended his title with a clinical win over Lewis. Lewis was able to get right back up, though still pressed against the cage.
Jones has ruled out a trilogy, and Cormier's next challenger will surely give him a better fight than Lewis. He secured top control on Lewis where he landed short shots to Lewis. Again, the Houston native regained his feet, but the respite only last a matter of seconds as Cormier took him down again.
Referee Herb Dean stopped the action with nine seconds left in the round.
Before the main event, Karl Roberson earned a convincing unanimous decision over Welshman Jack Marshman in their middleweight bout.
