In the midst of the Miami Heat looking for its next big star, Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops reported that James Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and Rodney McGruder would less than likely be included in a deal for Markelle Fultz.
Trading Fultz for Korver would make sense then, especially as they have similar salaries for this season and next season when Korver's deal expires.
Fultz, 20, was selected by Philadelphia with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 draft but has battled injuries and shooting woes in his first two years.
Fultz has been the subject of trade rumors and it was reported Saturday that he was no longer in Philadelphia's long-term plans.
Philadelphia has "stopped listening" to offers for the 26-year-old guard, according to a report from ESPN, which cites unidentified league sources.
Fultz has not played since November 19. "For now, however, Fultz is still around the team as if nothing has changed except his playing time".
According to SB Nation's Liberty Ballers, sources have confirmed that Fultz's representation has shown an interest in a trade of scenery, not Fultz himself.
"The possibility of Fultz moving on is understandable considering how confusing things have been with the Sixers", Pompey wrote. He's now averaging 12.4 points (shooting 43.0 percent from the field), 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
Fultz began the 2018/19 season as a starter but saw his place taken by J.J. Reddick following the arrival of Jimmy Butler.
T.J. McConnell appears to be remaining with the 76ers for the rest of the season. That seems to reflect that the organization knows it will be leaning more heavily on him now.
