Pele shreds Messi, says not as good as he is

In an interview with Folha de Sao Paulo, Pele who scored over 1000 career goals stated that Messi's height and left foot have disadvantages which make him unstable as a model footballer.

"It's hard to defend Neymar for all the things he does besides playing football", Pele added.

"How are you going to compare someone who headed well and kicked a football with his left and right foot with someone who only used one foot, only had one skill and didn't head well?". In a recent interview with Brazillian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, the former World Cup victor called the Barcelona forward a one-dimensional footballer who relied too much on his left foot. "They're also excellent players".

Football legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé has stated that he is out of the league of five-time Ballon d'Or victor, Lionel Messi and there is no basis for comparison.

He pointed out that to effectively compare with his own professional achievements, one would have "to shoot well with the left, shoot well with the right, and score headers".

Brazilian legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele won the 1958, 1962 and 1970 World Cups with Brazil and is the leading scorer in his national team's history with 77 goals. Much better. (Franz) Beckenbauer, (Johan) Cruyff are also better.

Messi has also won five Golden Balls, nine La Liga titles, four Champions League crowns and three Club World Cups.

Pele may not be Messi's biggest fan, but there is no questioning his achievements since bursting onto the scene at Barca. I talked with him, I told him that in soccer, he's got it.

"I've been with him in Europe twice".

Pele is widely thought of as one of football's best players ever, along with Argentine Diego Maradona. He claimed that according to him, Neymar is a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
