Ronaldo De Lima reveals difference between him and Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari has dismissed criticism of his squad from Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

He also left behind his fellow five-time Ballon d'Or victor Messi, but now wants his former rival - who has only ever played for Barcelona - to join him in Italy.

The Portuguese star then also praised Lionel Messi and his performance while saying "However, if he is happy there, I respect him". Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now in Juventus.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport when asked if he misses Messi: "No, maybe he misses me!"

"I played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, in the national team, while he is still in Spain".

But with nothing riding on the game for Madrid, Gareth Bale and Co were more than happy to joke around in the session with boss Santiago Solari likely to take the opportunity to make several changes to his side.

"It isn't right to name someone specific but I can say that this is the best group in which I've played", he said.

"[I am] disappointed but life goes on and I will still work hard". I'd played several times in Italy.

Speaking to Italian newspapers, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his congratulations to Luka Modric for breaking the decade long Messi-Ronaldo spell over the yearly award, but also pointed out how he should have won it instead.

"I believe that they deserve the "Golden ball" every year", - quotes Ronaldo AS. "I believed in myself and proved to the people that I'm still an incredible footballer".

"Do you think I'm going home and crying?"

"Given my experience at Real Madrid, we are a family and what mainly surprises you is the humility of champions of the world in their daily work".

No player in Europe's top five leagues has been directly involved in more goals than Lionel Messi (11 goals, eight assists) this season. "He will become like me, I'm 100% sure".

Real Madrid had already qualified for the round of 16 as winners of Group G, but the three points were not enough to help CSKA take third position ahead of Viktoria Plzen as the Czech outfit beat Roma to secure the Europa League spot.

"It has helped us to give them experience and they need it: young players, players who need rest and those who come back from injury".
