Huawei Nova 4 launched with two triple-camera options

If the various leaks are to be believed, the Huawei Nova 4 will sport a 6.4-inch display with Full HD+ resolution.

Judging by the press renders we've seen, the Nova 4's front-facing camera hole is slightly smaller than the one on the Galaxy A8s. Additionally, the smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There's a camera hole at the top left corner. Not only the in-display camera, the new Huawei Nova 4 shares a lot of features in common with the Honor View 20. According to the event, the standard version sports a 20MP + 16MP + 2MP and then for the other model, it carries a 48MP + 16MP + 2MP. Pricing and availability outside of China have not been announced. Huawei's handset packs a 25-megapixel selfie cam and a 48MP ( f/1.8 aperture) + 16MP + 2MP rear camera array.

For imaging, the front gets a 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera while the rear comes in two different spec options. Unlike the V20's new Kirin 980, the Nova 4 will instead house 970 from its P20 Pro.

Other specs include 8GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard storage, and a 3,750 mAh lithium-polymer battery (non removable, of course).

The Huawei Nova 4 comes with dual-SIM support, and on the software front, the phone runs EMUI 9.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

It has the same gradient design on its glass back like the Nova 3 and Nova 3i.

Furthermore, there is another scaled down variant of the Nova 4 which comes with a 20-megapixel, 16-megapixel, and 2-megapixel rear snappers as the differentiating factors.

With the smartphone officially launched in China for 3,099 Yuan (approximately $449.2), Huawei could most likely release it in Europe and India. It will cost 3,100 CNY (around $450) for a variant with a 20MP main camera and 3,400 CNY (around $490) for the 48MP shooter. The battery unit will support 18W fast charging.
