Juventus 'to rival Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi'

Maurizio Sarri has insisted that Callum Hudson-Odoi has not been distracted by continual reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

Sky Sports are reporting that the German Giants have tabled a fourth bid of £35 million for the England U19 worldwide, which includes no buy back option - something fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig had been prepared to include in any deal.

Sarri said he did not think a move to Germany would help Hudson-Odoi because "he is an England player" and has a "very great future here with the national team and with Chelsea". "Now with the midfielders we are in trouble, I think, because I don't know the [injury] situation of Ruben [Loftus-Cheek], if it is serious or not", he said.

The Bundesliga side reportedly matched the Blues' £35 million valuation of the player on Tuesday afternoon with their fourth bid, which doesn't include a buy-back clause, but it isn't yet known whether it's been accepted.

Hudson-Odoi set up both of Chelsea's goals against Forest.

"In my opinion, he needs to go", said Sarri.

The Ligue 1 club, now being coached by Fabregas' former Arsenal team mate Thierry Henry, are apparently not willing to pay what Chelsea are asking for a player whose contract ends in June this year. British media have reported the German champion is ready to spend 30 million pounds ($38 million) on Hudson-Odoi. He is improving, in the last match he played very well and also today a very good match.

He added that Chelsea will need to sign a replacement if former Spain midfielder Fabregas leaves in the January transfer window.

And Salihamidzic has confirmed that the club are keen on signing the winger, telling reporters at Bayern's winter training camp in Doha: "He's a very interesting player that we really want to sign".

Chelsea started with Callum Hudson-Odoi for their Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley tonight - despite the player being the subject of intense transfer speculation.
