Willian laughs off exit reports

Additionally, the fact that the possibility of Callum Hudson-Odoi departing from the Bridge can not be ruled out only adds to Chelsea's hesitancy in letting Willian join Barcelona.

Chelsea are said to have quickly rebuffed the interest, but according to the London Evening Standard, Barcelona are considering making a second offer as they look to land the South American. Barca instead bought Malcom for £38m from Bordeaux, but he has struggled at the Nou Camp.

Maurizio Sarri thinks it is "impossible" for Willian to leave Chelsea in January despite reports suggesting he could be part of a swap deal with Barcelona involving the out-of-favour Malcom.

Willian to Barca in cash-plus-player deal?

Blaugrana's renewed interest in the Chelsea star has made them offer Malcom plus €60m to Chelsea, who have rejected it. The Chelsea head coach also reiterated Willian's importance as a wide man to the squad.

"No, because I have the option with Hazard in this position", said Sarri earlier this month when asked about signing a centre forward. "I don't know what you're talking about".

"I think he can do better, because the potential is higher, but he's very important for us, so I think it's impossible to lose him in January", he explained.

Moreover, Chelsea have recently signed Christian Pulisic, who will probably further reduce the game time of Willian.

But he also believes the 30-year-old can score more goals and improve his work off the ball.
