Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailers feature ultra gore and Ronda Rousey

Will you be pre-ordering for Mortal Kombat 11's beta test on PS4?

And, in case you missed it, here is the January 17, 2019 Mortal Kombat 11 live stream.

NetherRealm Studios is now in London and Los Angeles, where invited guests will be getting the world's first hands-on of the fighting game.

It hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on April 23, and preordering a copy will unlock series archvillain Shao Kahn as a playable character.

First published at 9:24 a.m. PT. Updates, 12:13 p.m.: Adds details from reveal; 1:20 p.m.: Includes additional details from NetherRealm.

Video game stories from other sites on the web. It's unclear if we'll get it at this point.

Developer NetherRealm Studios also showed off the story prologue and some delightfully violent fatalities - including a variant on Sub Zero's klassic head-and-spine rip. Sonya Blade is being voiced by WWE star Ronda Rousey.

The news came via The Nerd Mag and some sort of official email leak on the subreddit for Mortal Kombat.

In addition to the standard edition, a $99.99 Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector's Edition will be released.

In a video, director Ed Boon walks us through some of the customization options using Scorpion. The post has since been deleted, but reports via The Nerd Mag suggest that Rousey will be part of the reveal event, which will announce her as the voice of long-term character Sonya Blade. I've started sending over what we have for Sonya, which hasn't been much so far.

Here is the first Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay reveal. Character customisation, similar to Injustice 2, is also a thing, allowing for all manner of costumes and looks for your favourite fighter. But we'll find out soon enough.
