The chopper which conveyed Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo from Abuja to Kabba in Kogi state crash-landed on Saturday.
The Vice-President's Spokesman Laolu Akande said he was continuing his engagements in Kogi state.
A tweet by Akande reads: "VP Osinbajo's Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew are safe".
In a series of tweets hours later, the APC thanked God the Vice President was safe and sound along with his aides. Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well.
To further confirm that Osinbajo and his team are, indeed, safe, Akande, added: "We give all the glory to God, our able protector, and commend all the flight crew officials for their service".
He also urged Nigerians irrespective of creed, ethnicity, and political affiliation, to continue to pray for God's "continued intervention in our national life".
"We are continuing with our Next Level engagements and plans for Kogi state", he said with a video attached to the message.
This is not the first time the Vice President's helicopter will be involved in such an accident.
He narrowly escaped death after his chopper crash landed shortly after take-off in Gwagwalada area council, June a year ago.
