Respawn Says They're Not Making Titanfall 3

Apex Legends, the anticipated free-to-play first-person shooter from Titanfall 2 developer Respawn Entertainment, is out now on the PlayStation 4.

While Apex Legends was only supposed to be unveiled yesterday, Respawn chose to make it officially available to download for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

That's everything you need to know on how to play solos & duos in Apex Legends. The game can be downloaded for free on PS4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC - in-game purchases are available. Apex's default map is a good deal smaller than Fortnite's though, so maybe it would be better to just put out an entirely new one every now and then, a la PUBG?

As a free-to-play game, Apex Legends has a variety of in-game currencies that you can both earn as well as spend real money on. That worked with various Apex Legends streams reaching over 500,000 concurrent viewers. Apex Legendswill follow a seasonal model with each themed season bringing new content to the game in the form of new weapons, new Legends, new skins and more. The battle royale game allows for 60 players, or "Legends", in total.

The biggest change is that it's a completely team-based game where 20 teams of three members each fight with each other on one huge map.

If you're imagining people duking it out in Titanfall's well-established giant mechs, you're out of luck.

There are eight Legends to choose from at launch, but Respawn plans to add more to the game over time. That said, a new comment from Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella seems to indicate that this might not necessarily be the case.

Characters in Apex Legends also have special traits. We can't predict.' This is a game we had to say 'This is what we want to do.

Does Apex Legends play like Titanfall?
