Fortnite World Cup With $100 Million Prize Pool Starts this April

The Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion will walk away with $3m, yet, no one goes away empty handed with each player guaranteed at least $50,000 for making it to the Finals.

Information about this tournament began to emerge midway through past year, starting with Epic unveiling its initial ideas for a Fortnite World Cup.

The Fortnite World Cup was first announced during Fortnite's ProAm event at E3 in June past year.

Throughout the "Fortnite World Cup" non-competitive players will be able to join in on the fun by playing in special custom challenges.

A crisp $30 million of that is allocated toward the Fortnite World Cup which takes place in late July. Eligible Fortnite players will vie for $1 million each week. The developers shared the first details about the Fortnite World Cup today and gave a brief outline of plans for the game's $100 million prize pool in 2019. The proof is the latest data shared by Epic Games, which confirm a new record of players simultaneously.

Not a Battle Royale player?

The approach to the World Cup will consist of ten weekly open qualifiers online that will be held from April 13th to June 16th. We will also provide tournament tools and prizing to select partners to better serve competitive Fortnite in more countries and regions around the world on our way to awarding the full $100,000,000 in 2019.
