A suburban woman reportedly posted R. Kelly’s $100,000 bail

R. Kelly, who turned himself in to police Friday night, spent the weekend in jail.

The day started with R. Kelly's attorney entering a not-guilty plea on all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, and he ended in the Gold Coast at a cigar Lounge.

He also revealed he came to the decision by setting the bond at $250,000 for each of the four people who he has been charged with sexually abusing.

R. Kelly's defense attorney, Steve Greenberg, speaks to reporters at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse after R. Kelly was ordered held on a $1 million bond, in Chicago on February 23, 2019.

His next court hearing is scheduled for March 22.

On Saturday, the court has set R. Kelly's bond at 1 million dollars, with which he has to pay 10% to be out of prison during the trial.

Mr Avenatti, who represents two Kelly victims, previously gave prosecutors video evidence of what he said showed the singer having sex with an underage girl.

Prior to the timely appearance of Kelly's "friend", the singer's lawyer insisted that his client had no money. Greenberg also argued that Cook County State's Attorney Kimberly Foxx indicted Kelly because she was "succumbing to public pressure".

"It leaves no doubt as to R. Kelly's guilt as to these serious sex crimes against underage girls", Avenatti said in a tweet Tuesday morning.

He said his team was in the process of obtaining a third tape of a similar nature, and that additional witnesses had come forward over the weekend.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, several women sat on the hood of a auto that was parked next to Kelly's van, where they took pictures and danced after he exited the restaurant.

Among the conditions of release is that Kelly have no contact with females younger than 18.

Prosecutors say Kelly's alleged victims include a teenager he met when she sought an autograph during his 2008 trial on child pornography charges, another he met at her 16th-birthday party and his hairdresser, who was then 24.

"I'm a mother and I have a daughter", said the 41-year-old who says Kelly abused her between 1995 and 1999.

On Saturday, Kelly's lawyer told reporters his client had been devastated by the charges.

Each count of the new charges carries up to seven years in prison, making it possible for him to receive up to 70 years.

Kelly has denied the charges.
